Thanks to so many extremely generous monetary and in kind donations made on #givingtuesday we were able to help 150 people uphold their dignity at our FIRST FREE STORE! 

Additionally, our NYC community (@openheartsinitiative, Manhattan Church of Hope and UES Buy Nothing/UES Connections) SHOWED UP with winter clothing and toys for our unhoused neighbors and families living below the poverty line! We are still blown away by the extreme generosity that we witnessed yesterday.

One of our favorite moments was a mom coming up and thanking us for having the event. She said she felt blessed to be invited and she wasn’t expecting so many nice things for herself and her children😭💜 

Another great moment was a man finding a suit that fit him. He said he never gets to dress up and now he can! 😁

We are so full of gratitude that we get to facilitate moments like these. Thank you again and we’ll see you at the next FREE store!
